Terms of Service for Art Commission

 

Information

  • By requesting for the art commission, you agree to all of the following specifications and instructions down below.

  • All of the art commission requests will be finished in digital form and RGB mode.

  • The artist reserves the right to decline any commission request for any reason.

  • I will have the right to publish the final artwork on social media or add it into my personal portfolio.

Payment

  • Payment via PayPal invoice only.

  • All prices in USD.

  • Please do not submit any payment until you receive the invoice from me, and kindly refrain from sending any payment until I have confirmed acceptance of your commission. 

  • To ensure that you are satisfied with the direction of your commission, I will first provide you with a WIP sketch. Once you approve the sketch, I will then send you an invoice for the full amount. AFTER payment is received, I will begin the painting process. This process is in place to protect both parties from potential scams.

  • Adding extra characters will result in the commission price being doubled.

Refunds

  • All of the payment is non-refundable, due to the skills and time I spend, which is not reversible.

  • The full refund will be given only when the artist is unable to complete the commission.

Workflow

  4. Artwork finish

  5. Full size artwork send

Revisions

  • There will be 2 revisions for each commission request.

  • If you have multiple revision requests, please list all of them in the first sketch discussion all at once, Don’t nitpick over several emails, list it all at once.

  • Please note once the final product is approved by both of us, the additional revision will not be accepted afterwards.

  • The revision will only be offered for free if the content is mistaken by me AFTER the first discussion, otherwise it will be charged extra depending on difficulty.

Copyright

  • The artist retains full ownership and copyright of the commissioned artwork, even after it has been sold and delivered to the client.

  • The client may not reproduce, distribute, use in any form for AI training, or sell the artwork without the artist's written permission. Though, if you do take commission for commercial purposes, you may need to read the "Terms Of Services" for commercial purposes below.

Modifications

  • The artist will make reasonable efforts to accommodate reasonable modification requests from the client during the creation process. 

  • However, significant modifications requested after the artwork has been completed may incur additional fees.

Delivery

  • All of the commissions will be made in digital only, which means I will not print or ship the completed work.You will receive the final high-quality digital image files (jpeg or png only) via email.

Timeframe 

  • I aim to complete commissions within a reasonable timeframe. You can expect your artwork to be ready about 2 weeks after you approve the work-in-progress sketch and I start working on it. However, if there are many people in the queue ahead of you, it may take up more time as I work through each commission.

References

The client must provide a detailed description of the work to be done, outlining all important details of the artwork. Please be clear about what you want including

  • Photo reference of the character

  • Physical descriptions of the character plus specific clothing and accessories

  • Actions and expressions may require additional visual references

Communication 

  • The client and artist will maintain open and respectful communication throughout the creation process.

Elements I will NOT draw

  • NSFW

  • Mecha

  • Heavy gore

  • Furry

  • Complicated ornate armor, weapons, machines or vehicles

  • Backgrounds that are too detailed with too many props will be declined. I prefer drawing living characters over inanimate objects

Terms of Service for Commercial Purposes Commission

 

Royalties 

In the event that the commissioned artwork is used for commercial purposes, the artist is entitled to a percentage of the revenue generated from its use. The royalty percentage will be agreed upon by both parties before work begins on the commission.

Payment

The client must pay the agreed-upon royalty percentage to the artist for any revenue generated from the use of the commissioned artwork for commercial purposes.

 

By requesting a digital art commission from the artist, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Service.
